What exactly is drone pressure washing?

Drone pressure washing is a modern cleaning method where a professional-grade drone equipped with specialized cleaning equipment sprays cleaning solution and water onto surfaces like roofs, siding, and multi-story buildings. Our Lucid Bots drone with extra payload carrier can safely reach areas that would normally require dangerous ladder work or expensive scaffolding. The drone uses a combination of eco-friendly cleaning solutions and controlled water pressure to remove dirt, algae, mold, and other buildup.

How is drone cleaning different from traditional pressure washing?

Traditional pressure washing requires workers to climb ladders or walk on roofs, which is dangerous and can damage surfaces. Drone pressure washing eliminates these risks entirely. Our drone operates from the ground, reaching every angle safely. It also uses 'soft washing' - lower pressure combined with effective cleaning solutions - which is gentler on surfaces than high-pressure blasting. Plus, drone cleaning is 3-5x faster than traditional methods, meaning less disruption to your day.

What surfaces can be cleaned with a drone?

Our drone is perfect for roofs (asphalt shingles, tile, metal), multi-story building exteriors (siding, stucco, brick), solar panels, and other elevated surfaces that are difficult or dangerous to reach. For ground-level surfaces like driveways, walkways, and patios, we use our Lucid Bots Lavobot robotic system. Together, these technologies can handle virtually any exterior cleaning need.

Is drone cleaning just a gimmick, or does it actually work better?

It's definitely not a gimmick - it's genuinely superior technology. Drone cleaning reaches angles and areas that ladders simply can't access safely. The controlled, consistent application means more even cleaning without the 'tiger striping' (uneven lines) you often get with manual pressure washing. Plus, there's zero risk of workers damaging your property by walking on your roof or dropping equipment. The results speak for themselves - cleaner surfaces, faster service, and complete safety.

Is drone cleaning safe for my property?

Yes, extremely safe. Because no one walks on your roof or climbs ladders against your building, there's zero risk of foot traffic damage, ladder accidents, or workers falling. Our drone uses soft washing techniques with low pressure (similar to a garden hose), so there's no risk of damaging shingles, breaking seals, or forcing water under siding. We're also fully insured, so you have complete peace of mind.

Are your pilots certified and insured?

Absolutely. All our pilots are FAA Part 107 certified, which is the federal requirement for commercial drone operations, and we carry full commercial liability coverage. We take safety and professionalism very seriously.

What if the drone crashes or damages my property?

Our drones have multiple redundant safety systems, GPS stabilization, and automatic return-to-home features if anything goes wrong. Our pilots are highly trained professionals who conduct pre-flight safety checks every time. That said, we carry comprehensive commercial insurance that covers any unlikely property damage. In thousands of flights, we've maintained a perfect safety record.

Can the drone operate safely near power lines or trees?

Yes, but only with proper planning. During our pre-flight inspection, our pilot identifies all obstacles like power lines, trees, and antennas. We maintain safe distances from all hazards and plan flight paths accordingly. If your property has significant obstacles that make drone operation unsafe, we'll let you know upfront and may recommend alternative methods for those specific areas.

How much does drone pressure washing cost?

Pricing varies based on the total square footage of surfaces to be cleaned, your location (zip code), and service urgency. You can get an instant, transparent quote using our online calculator - just enter your address and the surfaces you need cleaned. There are no hidden fees. Most residential roof cleanings range from $300-$800, but the best way to know is to get your personalized quote.

Why does drone cleaning cost more than traditional pressure washing?

Actually, drone cleaning is often comparable or even less expensive than traditional methods when you factor in the full picture. Traditional multi-story cleaning requires expensive scaffolding or lift rentals ($500-$2000+), plus higher labor costs for dangerous work. Our drone eliminates those costs. You're also getting faster service (half the time), better results, zero property damage risk, and complete safety. Most customers find the value far exceeds the cost.

Do you charge extra for urgent or emergency service?

Yes, urgent service (24-48 hour turnaround) includes a $5,000 rush fee to prioritize your job and mobilize our team quickly. For urgent service in distant zip codes, there's also a $250 travel surcharge. However, standard service (scheduled within 5-7 days) includes all travel at no extra charge. Most customers find standard scheduling works perfectly fine.

Are there any hidden fees?

No hidden fees, ever. Our online calculator shows you the complete breakdown: base service cost, chemical costs (if using chemical cleaning), any urgent fees (if applicable), and estimated sales tax. What you see in the quote is what you pay. We believe in complete transparency.

How long does drone cleaning take?

Most residential roof cleanings take 1-2 hours total. Ground surface cleaning with our Lavobot typically takes 1-3 hours depending on the size. This is 3-5x faster than traditional methods, which often take a full day or more. We'll give you an accurate time estimate when you book.

How quickly can you schedule service?

For standard service, we typically schedule within 5-7 days. If you need urgent service, we can often arrive within 24-48 hours (with rush fees). During peak season (spring/summer), we recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance for the best availability.

What happens if it rains on my scheduled service day?

We monitor weather forecasts closely. If rain is predicted, we'll proactively contact you to reschedule. Light cloud cover is fine, but we can't operate drones in rain, high winds (over 20mph), or thunderstorms due to safety regulations. We'll work with you to find the next available clear day at no extra charge.

Do I need to be home during the service?

Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the property and any necessary water hookups, we can complete the work while you're away. Many customers prefer to be home to see the results and ask questions, but it's not required. We'll take before/after photos and can send them to you if you're not present.

How often should I have my property cleaned?

We recommend most properties be cleaned every 1-2 years to maintain appearance and prevent long-term damage. Properties in shaded areas, near trees, or in humid climates may benefit from annual cleaning. Solar panels should be cleaned every 6-12 months for optimal energy production. We can set up a maintenance schedule if you prefer regular service.

What's the difference between chemical and eco-friendly cleaning?

Our standard chemical cleaning uses biodegradable cleaning solutions that are very effective at killing mold, algae, and mildew. They're safe for landscaping and pets once dry. Our eco-friendly option uses only water and specialized pressure techniques - no chemicals at all. It's perfect if you're very environmentally conscious or have sensitive landscaping. Both methods work well; chemical is slightly more effective on stubborn stains.

Are your cleaning chemicals safe for my landscaping and pets?

Yes. We use biodegradable, plant-safe cleaning solutions that meet EPA environmental guidelines. We water down any plants near the work area before we start, and the diluted runoff won't harm grass or shrubs. Pets should stay indoors during service, but once everything is dry (usually 2-3 hours), it's completely safe for them to return outside.

What's 'soft washing' and why do you use it?

Soft washing uses low water pressure (similar to a garden hose) combined with cleaning solutions, rather than high-pressure water blasting. High pressure can damage shingles, strip protective coatings, and force water under siding. Soft washing is gentler on surfaces while actually being MORE effective because the cleaning solution does the work, not just water pressure. It's the preferred method of most roofing and siding manufacturers.

How do you clean residential windows?

For residential homes, we clean windows with the XERO Ultimate Residential Kit - a professional water-fed pole system that reaches second-story windows safely from the ground. Pure water and soft-bristle brushes scrub the glass and frames, then rinse with deionized water so windows dry spot-free with no chemical residue. No ladders leaning on your home, no pressure on seals. For commercial storefronts and building facades, we use drone soft-wash window cleaning instead.

Will drone cleaning remove all stains immediately?

Most dirt and organic growth is removed immediately during cleaning. However, some deep stains (especially old algae or rust) may continue to fade over 1-2 weeks as the cleaning solution continues working. You'll see dramatic improvement right away, with continued enhancement over the following days. If you have particularly stubborn stains, let us know and we can pre-treat them.

Can you clean commercial or multi-story buildings?

Absolutely! In fact, drone cleaning is especially beneficial for commercial properties and multi-story buildings. We regularly clean office buildings, apartment complexes, retail centers, and warehouses. Our drone can reach heights that would otherwise require expensive lifts or scaffolding. We can also schedule service during off-hours to minimize disruption to your business operations.

Do you clean solar panels?

Yes, solar panel cleaning is one of our specialties. Dirty solar panels can lose 15-25% of their efficiency. We use deionized water and soft-bristle brushes (when needed) to clean panels without scratching the anti-reflective coating. Our drone's gentle approach is much safer than workers walking on your roof near expensive panels. Most customers see an immediate improvement in energy production.

Can you clean driveways and walkways too?

Yes! For ground-level surfaces, we use our Lucid Bots Lavobot - an autonomous robotic surface cleaning system. It's perfect for driveways, walkways, patios, pool decks, and parking lots. The robot delivers consistent, professional results across large flat surfaces. Many customers book both drone cleaning (for roofs) and Lavobot service (for ground surfaces) at the same time.

My roof is very steep. Can the drone still clean it?

Yes! Steep roofs are actually where drones shine. Traditional pressure washing requires workers to tie off safety harnesses and carefully navigate steep pitches - it's dangerous and slow. Our drone easily handles any roof pitch because it operates from the air. The steeper your roof, the more advantage drone cleaning provides.

How long do the results last?

Typically 1-2 years, depending on your property's environment. Shaded areas or properties near trees may see regrowth sooner (6-12 months). Properties in full sun with good drainage often stay clean for 2+ years. Our cleaning solutions include growth inhibitors that help prevent rapid regrowth. Regular maintenance cleaning (every 1-2 years) keeps your property looking its best long-term.

What if I'm not satisfied with the results?

Customer satisfaction is our priority. If you're not happy with the results, contact us within 7 days and we'll come back to address any areas that didn't meet our standards - at no charge. We also provide before/after photos so you can see the dramatic difference. In our experience, customers are consistently amazed at the transformation.

Will you provide before and after photos?

Yes! We take aerial photos before and after every drone cleaning job. This documentation shows the dramatic improvement and also serves as a record for your property maintenance files. You'll receive these photos via email after service is complete. Many customers love sharing them with neighbors who ask about their newly clean property!

Does cleaning damage or void my roof warranty?

No. Our soft washing method is approved by major roofing manufacturers and will not void your warranty. In fact, most roof warranties require regular maintenance (including cleaning) to remain valid. High-pressure washing can void warranties, but our low-pressure approach is completely safe. We can provide documentation of our service methods if needed for warranty purposes.
